With a hot date on the horizon, it’s time to set aside your dating doubts and dive into the fun. Avoid these six ways you’re going to blow your hot date and have a great time!

1. No Time to Switch from Work-Mode to Date-Mode

One danger of having a hot date right after work is arriving in the same mental state as if you’re still at work. Bringing a tough day on a hot date puts out the flame instantaneously. Be sure to schedule some down time in between work and your date so you can let go of ‘work mode’ and get into being flirty and fun on a date.

2. Worrying about Your Body Shape

Be who you are, the shape you are, and embrace yourself as you are. If there’s something you don’t like about your body, then decide you’re doing something about it, but don’t bring your apprehension about your belly, back fat, behind or thighs on the date. Worrying about your body shape will affect how you act when you’re around him and he’ll sense something is wrong. The mistake he’ll make is thinking you don’t like something about him when this is your issue.

3. Let Your Nerves Win

Being a little nervous on a hot date is totally normal. The trick is to center in your confidence and not let your nervousness get the best of you. You’ll know your nerves are winning when you are talking too much, oversharing or drinking to try to calm yourself. Show up as your confident self who deserves to be on this hot date tonight.

4. You Don’t Know that He’s Flirting

Flirting is part art and part science and requires paying attention. Notice him smiling at you, if he blushes in your presence, the sparkle in his eyes as he holds your eye a little longer than ‘normal’, or the accidentally-on-purpose way he touches your hand. Don’t be afraid to return the flirt or this might be the way you’re going to blow your hot date.

5. Paying Attention to Your Phone and Not to Him

Being truly in the moment, with this man, on this date, in this place and listening only to him is mesmerizing to him. Getting distracted by everyone around you, or worse, picking up your phone to return a text or answer a call is deadly. You love it when a man is truly paying attention to you, so treat him the same.
