Your photograph is a key piece of your online dating profile and what it says about you can determine how much, or what kind of interest you create.

We all want to appear attractive online, but do not post revealing pictures of you in your undies, lingerie or bikini. Some of you are thinking, “Wow, that seems obvious” and others are thinking, “Well, why not? It’ll get their attention.” True, but I have heard from men who have seen these pictures, and their comments are “these women show more skin than sense.” Yes, these pictures will get you attention, though probably not from men you actually want to date.  The good men are wondering, “What are these women thinking? Yes, if you give us that picture we’re going to look at it, but it doesn’t mean we are interested in dating you.”

Meaning, the men who are trouble will flock to your door, though if you want a relationship, you are not going to attract the good men who do too.

Instead, wear your new outfit and have a friend take a snapshot that showcases your smile, facial expressions, and spirit. Yes, everyone checks out the physical appearance of the person in the profile, though he’s going to notice your personality if you show it to him.
