If You’re Over 55 – Which Picture Do You Use In Your Online Dating Profile
Posted by Debra Kunz on 22 Apr 2014 . Filed under: Dating Tips
I was talking with a group of singles over 55 who were still using their high school pictures in their dating profiles. It’s as if they would like to return to their youth, cancel out all of their adult years, and start over.
And don’t tell me that’s the only good picture you have of yourself. That’s just an excuse. A friend, neighbor, co-worker or even your grandkids could snap a picture of you with their phone. That’s the photo to use.
Set aside any apprehension that you’re ‘this age’ and dating online. Stop letting any embarrassment get the better of you and be who you are right now. Show your beauty right now, at this age and at this point of your life. (Click for an article on four tips to prevent online dating burnout that will also help.)
You wouldn’t be the person you are without all of those years since high school. Value that in yourself and recognize all of the fantastic qualities and experience you have to offer someone. That’s what will attract a good man who wants to date the real you, right now.
Date Deliberately,
Debra
