When Do You Give Your Date a Second Chance?

Giving your date a second chance means you are investing time with a man who already made you question if he’s worthy of dating. Before you jump to conclusions, check out these situations where giving your date a second chance just might lead to love.
When He Genuinely Apologizes
Making mistakes is part of dating. We get so caught up expecting him to be perfect and never do or say the wrong thing, that we forget that he is only human. A genuine apology shows your date is mature enough to recognize the blunders he made, owns them, and is willing to do better this time.
Of course, for him to apologize for messing up, he actually has to know that he did something wrong. Have the courage to say something instead of claiming that he should already know because he may not. As much as we would like men to be able to read our minds, and automatically know when we’re upset with them, they can’t and never will be able to.
It’s Nothing Illegal or Puts You at Risk
Yes, someone will say ‘that never happens’, but I invite you to watch the news wherever you are. Getting pulled into illegal stuff happens in dating so don’t be the one the news interviews saying “I ignored the signs because I didn’t want to believe it.” If you know it’s nothing illegal, or beyond your tolerance for risk in your life, then perhaps you should give your date a second chance.
You Know He Meets Your Deal Breakers
If you’ve taken the time to list your deal breakers, and he meets them, then perhaps he deserves a second chance.
He’s Inexperienced at Dating
There are many, many people who are clueless about dating. They just want to find someone they are compatible with, have some fun, and get to know each other. These men likely have a genuine heart, but may appear to be idiots around you. It’s not because they are trying to be, or mean to be, or actually are, they just aren’t sure about how to go about dating. If he’s a good one, let him mess up and gently help him out of his mistakes.
He Treats You Well (Other Than This Mistake)
A man who treats you well is golden. It doesn’t mean he’s The One, but you won’t know unless you give him a chance to find out. Maybe his error really is an isolated incident in poor judgment, and forgiveness just might lead to happiness for the two of you.
Many of these reasons to give your date a second chance could happen simultaneously… Click for examples.
Date Deliberately,
Debra
